Method

  1. Grind the warm nuts for 5-8 minutes in a powerful blender until a nut butter forms.
  2. Blend in the melted chocolate, sugar, cocoa, oil and salt.
  3. Transfer to a clean jar; it firms up as it cools.

Substitutions

Replace hazelnuts with almonds for a more marzipan-like flavor. Without a strong blender, use 200 g store-bought hazelnut butter. Powdered sugar can be replaced with very finely ground regular sugar.

Storage

2 weeks cool and dark; refrigerate for longer storage.
