This is the gym-bro cousin of pizza dough. Slightly suspicious, surprisingly useful, and much better than eating dry chicken with sadness.

Why this works

Oats give structure, cottage cheese adds protein and moisture, and egg helps the base set. It is more protein flatbread than classic dough, but it bakes into a reliable weeknight base.

Ingredients

  • 100g oats or oat flour
  • 150g cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Optional: garlic powder
  • Optional: oregano

Method

  1. Blend oats, cottage cheese, egg, baking powder and salt until smooth.
  2. Rest for 5 minutes so the oats thicken.
  3. Spread thinly on baking paper.
  4. Bake at 220°C for 12–15 minutes.
  5. Add toppings and bake again until hot.
