Why this works
Bananas go on late so they warm without collapsing. Caramel is drizzled after baking, not baked into a sticky swamp. Toasted nuts bring crunch and stop the slice from feeling one-note.
Ingredients
- 1 smaller pizza dough ball, 220โ250g
- 1 tsp melted butter
- 1 banana, sliced
- 1 tbsp caramel sauce, after baking
- 15g toasted hazelnuts or pecans
- Optional: cinnamon
- Optional: pinch of flaky salt
Method
- Stretch the dough and brush with butter.
- Bake the base until mostly golden.
- Add banana slices for the final 2โ3 minutes.
- Remove from the oven.
- Drizzle lightly with caramel.
- Finish with toasted nuts and optional salt.
