Why this works
Whole burrata placed on a hot pizza, cherry tomatoes roasted until jammy, and torn basil. Simple, stunning, perfect.
Ingredients
- Pizza dough250g
- San Marzano tomato sauce90g
- Cherry tomatoes (halved)150g
- Fresh burrata1 large (125g)
- Fresh basillarge handful
- Olive oil (excellent quality)20ml
- Flaky sea saltpinch
- Black peppergood amount
Method
- Preheat oven to 280°C.
- Stretch dough. Spread tomato sauce. Add cherry tomatoes cut-side up.
- Bake 11–13 minutes.
- Remove from oven. Place burrata immediately on the center—the residual heat will slightly melt it.
- Tear open the burrata. Top with basil, drizzle with finest olive oil, flaky salt, and pepper. Eat immediately.
